+Intention Cards

Challenge

There was much we didn’t see coming when 2020 began. A pandemic. Social unrest. Economic struggle. Love. Hate. Loss. And a life lived via video platforms. It was a tumultuous period of pain and isolation with no clear end in sight. To put it simply, it was a year of unforeseen challenges.

Through it all, we were looking for ways to navigate the uncertainty in which we found ourselves. Searching for meaning in a confusing time. And by the end of the year, most of us were seeking closure after many months of difficulty.

The question is, what did we learn from it all? Personally. What would it look like to move ahead after what we were leaving behind? What would we take away? How might we, as a studio, contribute to that sense of understanding?

Solution

Hindsight may be 20|20, but it’s clear, 2020 was a year of insight. At the end of the year, we invited our clients and partners to pause. Look back. Think about the energy they wanted to bring to the world moving forward. Decide their “way of being” in 2021. Then, with our help, commit to it. With the promise that we would help them set their intentions. Literally.

We asked them to write out and submit their intention for 2021. We gathered them, typeset them, and compiled them into a set of +Intention Cards.

Based on the nature of the responses we received, we organized them into six groups: Connection, Empowerment, Self-Care, Positivity, Peace, and Growth. Individually, each card reflects a person’s intention. Collectively, connections emerge––shared themes, hopes, intentions with power to make ourselves and this world better. Born of insights, they provide something truly valuable: foresight.

“So inspirational and so well crafted! This clearly was from the heart. Taking the time and making the effort to collect and share these intentions is a real testament to your agency—one that truly believes in making connections that matter.”
